The tour Egypt website will really give you all the information you need. I would also suggest that you get a copy of The Lonely Planet Guide to Egypt.

It really is a necessity for anyone traveling to Egypt and will save you loads if money and give you a ready guide book, phrase book, maps, prices to pay,the times things open and what you should and shouldn't wear and do.

I have been coming to and from Egypt for 6 years and have lived there the past year and still carry my copy everywhere.

You can expect it to be still quite cool in February and also quite windy.

Enjoy you will love Egypt!

I am going in February, as that should be the coolest month. Tho, you are from Peru, so the heat should not bother you.

I will spend 4 days seeing the sights in Cairo! You do have so little time to sight-see.

I'd advise you to see the Pyramids and all of Giza, while in Cairo. You can fly to Luxor. But, you will only have time for a quick trip to Karnak, and hopefully you can go to Abu Simbel.

There is no way you can see more.......if even that.

I fly from Amman to Cairo, so have no idea on going from Israel. Check the Egypt Air web sight for prices, and also El Al. I remember I tried to check--found that fights are not daily----so you may have to plan around this. The Bus might be best for you.

The answer above me is more for a recreational visit---------i am talking about a historical visit-depends on what you like.

The best time to visit Egypt is any time between January and May, after that it becomes too hot for most western tourists.

If you are only going to be in Egypt for 3-4 days I would spend 2 days in Cairo and 2 days in Luxor. In Cairo visit the Pyramids as well as the Egyptian museum, the Citadel, etc. try to get to the Khan al Khalili market. In luxor there are of course the temples of Luxor and Karnak and the Valley of the Kings.

Don't know about buses or flights from Israel.

In the amount of time you have I doubt that you would have time to fit in Aswan or Abu Simbel because those are quite a ways south of Cairo. Abu Simbel is a must-see but you need more time.

My tip would be to join an established tour group because that makes your trip worry free. And don't try to rent a car or drive yourself, especially in Cairo.

*Oh and from what I understand, February would be a very good time to go to Egypt. It sucks that you'd only have 3-4 days! There's so much to see!! Have fun when you go and be safe!
